Mayor and Molly Curry Celebrate Read Across America Day at RCSA Innovation and Mandarin

RCSA Innovation and Mandarin received special guests Friday for Read Across America Day, celebrated annually on Dr. Seuss’ birthday.

Mayor Lenny Curry and Molly Curry visited Innovation. They experimented with a few STEM projects from the Robotics team and took a brief school tour.

Next, Mrs. Curry read a favorite book to students in grades K-3 as a part of a school-wide celebration of literacy. Students loved the guest reader and asking questions about what it’s like to be the mayor and first lady of Jacksonville.

Next, Molly Curry visited RCSA Mandarin where she again shared some favorite books with students in first and second grade. Mrs. Curry went on a brief tour of the school and received some handcrafted gifts from the 3D printer.

Thank you to our special guests for making this celebration of reading so special for students.
